Our function room is available for a wide range of private events and celebrations, including birthday parties, anniversaries, wedding receptions, engagement parties, wakes, family gatherings, presentations, meetings and other special occasions.

With space for up to 120 guests, a bar and the option to arrange your own approved catering and entertainment, Wadsley House can provide a flexible setting for your event.

Please note: We do not accept bookings for 18th birthday parties or children's parties.

Our function room hire starts from £60, depending on the day of the week and the arrangements required for your event.

• Friday–Saturday: £100

Additional options, such as bar provision and DJ hire, are available at an extra cost. A £50 refundable bond is also required for bookings where you are providing your own catering.

Our function room hire gives you exclusive use of the function room for your booked event, with tables and chairs available for your guests.

The room is fully accessible and can be arranged to suit your event, subject to the maximum capacity of 120 people.

We have a preferred catering partner whom we recommend to our function-room hirers and would encourage you to use for your event. They can provide a range of catering options to suit different types of functions and budgets.

Alternatively, you may arrange your own catering or use another external caterer, subject to prior approval by Wadsley House Social Club.

Please note that hirers and external caterers cannot use the club kitchen.

If you are providing your own catering, a £50 refundable bond is required as part of the booking arrangements.

Yes. Bar provision is available for your event, so your guests can purchase drinks directly from the club bar.

Please note that, in accordance with our licensing and club rules, alcohol cannot be brought onto the premises for consumption. All alcoholic drinks must therefore be purchased from the club bar. Sheffield Licensing

Hirers are welcome to provide music and entertainment for their private function, subject to the following conditions:

• Background music: Hirers may play their own music through a Wadsley House Bluetooth speaker, subject to the club's volume limits and instructions. Use of the Wadsley House speaker is subject to an additional £50 charge.

• DJs: Hirers may arrange their own DJ in conjunction with Wadsley House. The DJ and entertainment must be agreed with the club in advance and recorded as part of the function booking. An additional £50 charge applies where the hirer provides their own DJ.

• Live bands: Any request to have a live band at a function will require prior discussion and agreement with Wadsley House management.

• Sound equipment: Where practical, entertainment should use the club's approved sound equipment. All amplified music must comply with the club's noise-control arrangements and the requirements of the Wadsley House premises licence.

• Noise: All music and entertainment must be kept at a reasonable level and must not cause a nuisance to neighbouring properties. Wadsley House reserves the right to reduce the volume or stop entertainment if necessary to comply with the premises licence or to prevent a noise nuisance.

• External entertainment: Music or entertainment is not permitted in the club's outside areas.

• Doors and windows: Doors and windows must remain closed while regulated entertainment is taking place, except where necessary for access, exit or emergencies.

• Premises licence: All entertainment must comply with the Wadsley House Social Club premises licence. In particular, regulated entertainment for functions must be booked through the premises.

If you are planning to provide your own DJ or other entertainment, please tell us when making your booking. Any applicable entertainment charge will be added to the booking.

Yes. You are welcome to decorate the function room to suit your event, helping you create the atmosphere and look you want for your celebration.

Any decorations must be suitable for the venue and must not cause damage to the room or its fixtures and fittings. We can discuss your decoration plans with you when you make your booking.

The start and finish times for your event will be agreed when you make your booking, depending on the type of event and the day of the week.

We will also discuss your set-up requirements when confirming your booking, so that you have suitable time to prepare the room before your guests arrive.

Please speak to us when making your booking if you require additional time for decorating, catering or setting up entertainment, and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements.
